Description

Torbay Council conducted a new tender process earlier in 2021, with the intention of formalising future arrangements by putting a Contract in place for the following three support services: Lot 1: Support for Torbay Governing Body Support Services; Lot 2 - Support for Torbay and Ethnic Minority and Traveller Support and English as an additional language; Lot 3: Provision of an Adviser to Torbay Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education (SACRE). The overall aim was to ensure Torbay schools have access to good quality help and support for Torbay Governing Body Support Services, for Ethnic Minority and Traveller Services and continuous support for Standing Advisory Committee for Religious Education (SACRE). Bids received for this Tender process only identified (and subsequently awarded a contract to) a successful bidder, for Lot 1: Support for Torbay Governing Body Support Services. Therefore, a Re-tender opportunity was conducted with the aim of awarding a new Contract(s) for both: Lot 2: Support for Torbay and Ethnic Minority and Traveller Support and English as an additional language; And: Lot 3: Provision of an Adviser to Torbay Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education (SACRE), either to one successful Applicant or to different successful Applicants, for each service. Following this Re-tender, a Contract for both Lots 2 and 3 was awarded.
