Description
Buckinghamshire Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of services to support Young Carers (age 5-18) across the county. The service will provide advice, support and guidance. The initial contract term is three years with an option to extend for a further two, one year periods (3+1+1). The contract start date is 1 April 2025. Buckinghamshire Council is commissioning a dedicated Young Carers Support Service that is tailored to meet the needs of Young Carers in Buckinghamshire to enable them to carry out their caring role whilst maintaining their own aspirations. The service will align to the ten key outcomes identified within the Carers Trust Young Carers Covenant which envisions a future where all Young and Young Adult Carers. The service will adopt a 'whole family' approach to supporting Young Carers and their families, raising awareness of unpaid carers, increasing self-identification and promoting access to support services, and aim to reduce the poorer health outcomes faced by unpaid carers. This Procurement falls under the Light Touch Regime and will be based on the Open Procedure ( Regulations 74-77 of the Public Contract Regulations 2015).
