Description

CJ Founds Associates (CJF) were directly engaged by GMCA in August 2023 to support a £3M bid to Government for Greater Manchester to host a 5G Innovation Region project pilot. CJF had previously programme managed and supported the GM Local Full Fibre Network project between 2019 and 2022 therefore had both insights into and experience of working across GM on digital infrastructure projects.  They had also undertaking work for GMCA on digital infrastructure mapping across GM during 2023.
GMCA were notified that they were successful in the 5GIR project bid in late November 2023 and an MOU was agreed in early January 2024. The purpose  is to deliver a Greater Manchester 5G Innovation Region Smart Decarbonisation Network (GM 5GIR SDN). CJF supported the initial mobilisation work in and GMCA wishes to continue using them for overall programme management and support for the initiative which has a tight deadline of delivery by March 2025.

FTS047 Pathways to Start - Lot 2 Moray

THIS IS THE CONTRACT NOTICE FOR LOT 2 MORAY. HIE is looking to procure a supplier to deliver a programme to support underrepresented groups in entrepreneurship. The programme will inspire participants to increase their ambition, confidence and capability to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and enter pathways for starting a business through a programme of entrepreneurial training and mentoring tailored towards underrepresented groups/individuals specific learning needs. The delivery of the services, submission of all invoices and completion of all reports must be complete by 20 March 2026. The budget available to deliver this service is between GBP187,500 and GBP220,000 (excluding VAT) PER LOT. The budget includes all costs related to delivering the services are not limited to, venue hire, catering, training materials/tools, fees, day rates and include provision for recovery of any other expenses, including but not limited to, travel and subsistence – all costs to be included in the Pricing Schedule. The contract value stated in the Contract Notice is GBP240,000 (ex VAT) per lot. This includes GBP20,000 contingency per lot which may be used e.g. if more than 45 participants could be recruited for the lot.

BT309 - Review of Fees and Charges

The council has not had an external review completed since prior to the pandemic and with a changing economic climate since then an external review of these income sources would be beneficial. The council is all local authorities are struggling with financial pressures and a maximisation of this income sources is required to retain financial stability. Benchmark WCC fees and charges & commercial income against other local authorities – work to be completed by consultant for an agreed set of charges, with training to WCC staff on how to do this for the remaining items and in future years Review costs to identify if optimum price is being charged in line with policy objectives
