Description

Avon Fire & Rescue have a requirement to replace its current Hovercraft.

A hovercraft can be used over any reasonable ground - not only coastal areas, so is suitable for numerous different types of special service calls in the service area. Global climate change is increasing the risk of extreme weather and flooding.  The new hovercraft coupled with our crews having mod 2 water skills would enable the deployment of our teams into flood areas to help with stranded communities, transporting people to safety, or moving critical supplies to isolated areas.

The role of VRES provides support with vehicles that are involved in collisions, vehicles involved in serious and organised crime that require forensic examinations and vehicles that are seized under police powers for no insurance or being driven without a licence. We (VRES) support frontline policing and operate 24/7/365 days a year. We have our own unique in-house policing team and a command and control team. VRES currently operate out of two forensic car pounds located at Perivale and Charlton processing circa 40,000 vehicles per year. VRES oversee all vehicle types, from two-wheel bikes to HGV's and other heavy bulky items. The work of VRES has a direct, contributing impact on services delivered by the MPS and to those London communities upon the MPS serves. The MPS is seeking to tender and award a replacement Contract for the provision Vehicle Disposal Including Personal Light Electric Vehicles (PLEV's) & Associated Services Vehicle for a duration of 36 months with an optional 2x 12 month extension's (total 60 months contract duration including foreseen extensions). Accident Damage and Body Repair

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership – Procurement Services on behalf of The Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust are looking to engage the market to establish a Framework agreement consisting of multiple suppliers for the provision of Accident Damage and Body Repair Services. To meet the requirements of the Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust (WAST), the service is being tendered in two main categories: Light to Moderate Damage and Severe Damage. Given the extensive geographical area covered by WAST, each category is further divided into four geographical lots based on WAST locality bases: North, Central, South Central, and South & East In collaboration with the NHS Wales Shared Service Partnership, the Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust aims to establish a Framework for up to four (4) providers per lot that may be drawn upon at times as determined by the Trust, when requiring Accident Damage and Body Repair Services. The vehicles are subject to accidental damage by both third parties and Trust operatives. Repairs are required to be carried out in a timely manner to meet operational requirements. The vehicles will need to be delivered and collected from the Trust’s ambulance stations as appropriate. Contractors must ensure that vehicles are repaired using vehicle manufacturers & body builders approved repair methods using an approved technical database such as Thatcham Escribe or EZI methods.
