Description

The council is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and resourced contractor to deliver Carriageway Patching works across Tameside.  The works are defined as replacement of surface course, binder course and base where the materials are laid in small areas including the adjustment (replacement where instructed) of associated ironwork.  \r

No submission received after the closing date and time will be accepted other than where there are exceptional circumstances which may be considered by the Director of STAR Procurement in their sole discretion.  Please note that tender submissions which are only partly uploaded at the closing date and time will be considered to have not been received and will be rejected by the Council.\r

Highways Maintenance Works - Multi-Lot

The Council is seeking to appoint suppliers for Highways Maintenance Works, which is split into two (2) lots, Lot 1 - A1.1 Surface Dressing & Micro Carriageway Surfacing and Lot 2 - A2 Structural Carriageway Resurfacing. A single supplier will be awarded the contract under Lot 1. The work involved within Lot 2 - A2 will involve highway surfacing, including Hot Rolled Asphalt, Close Graded Asphalt Concrete, and other specialist asphalts as necessary, to base, binder, and surface levels, and proprietary processes including ironwork adjustment, re-application of carriageway markings, and all associated traffic and pedestrian management. A single supplier will be awarded the contract under Lot 2. Tenderers can submit a tender response for one or both Lots. The anticipated contract commencement date for both Lots is 1 December 2025 and will be for a period 3 years, to conclude on 1 December 2028.
