Description

Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew require a Ground Investigation survey to be undertaken by an experienced Ground Investigation Contractor in Wokingham. The investigation will inform the design of a new facility located in Thames Valley Science Park, South of Reading and adjacent to the M4. The Contractor will be required to undertake investigative works at the site to determine the site stratigraphy, confirm soil parameters for use in design, measure and monitor groundwater, investigate ground and groundwater contamination, confirm infiltration potential of underlying soil and undertake a topsoil and subsoil survey. 
      
      The intrusive works shall comprise cable percussive boreholes, window samples, trial pits, soakaway/soil infiltration tests and CBR tests. The Contractor will be required to undertake laboratory testing of the samples obtained and prepare a Ground Investigation Report to summarise the findings. Welsh Procurement Alliance seek to establish a framework for the construction of new build housing projects.
