Description

Repton Parish Council (as trustees of Repton  Recreation Ground Charity no. 509372 - Mitre Field), following a full consultation process,  wish to add a purpose designed multi-wheel pump track to an existing playing field area within the village. Suitable contractors are asked to submit tenders to undertake the design and supply of the pump track. It is intended that the track is suitable for a variety of non-motorised small wheeled devices and is to be provided for the benefit of the inhabitants of Repton and in particular, but not exclusively, those of the said inhabitants who are children under the age of 14 years with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. Improvements to Paths at Waterside Valley

Waterside Valley is a linear 12.7 hectare (31.4 acre) stretch of informal greenspace to the east of Westfield. The site comprises three fields of disused grazing land. Its southeast boundary is defined by the watercourse variously known as Waterside or Snail's Brook, with the West Hill Gardens / Waterford Park housing estate forming its north west boundary. The site had for many years been used as informal public open space and was acquired by the Parish Council in two lots in 2021 and 2023. A masterplan and management plan has been produced for the site and the path improvements works covered by this tender, are the first significant phase of infrastructure improvements for the site. The works comprise improving footpaths with a new granular surface and installation of some sections of boardwalk across wetter areas. Playhouse, Whitley Bay Operator

The Whitley Bay Playhouse is situated at Marine Avenue, Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear. The Playhouse is a 638-seat single auditorium theatre which underwent redevelopment in 2008 to bring the sound, lighting, seating and customer experience up to modern standards. The site has been the basis for a theatre in the town for over 100 years and continues to be integral to the cultural and tourism offer of the area. The Authority owns the freehold of the Playhouse and surrounding car parks. The Playhouse is an integral part of the cultural plan for the Borough's services to residents of North Tyneside and it also appeals to tourists and visitors to the area. The facility also supports the activities of local amateur dramatic organisation and provides a platform for performance for a range of schools in the Borough. Key stakeholders in the Playhouse are North Tyneside Council, North Tyneside residents, local schools and local cultural organisations. The Playhouse has been managed under an Operating Agreement initiated in September 2009 and scheduled to terminate in June 25. The Authority is seeking to procure an operator to deliver services at the theatre from July 2025 for a further 15-year period.
