Description

To provide services for nursing care and clinical oversight at Millvina House and Brushwood.
Brushwood and Millvina House are two purpose-built care homes which can each support up to 60 residents over three floors. Both homes provide both general nursing and dementia nursing services to residents, in addition to a small number of residents with residential care needs only.
This service covers the nursing care needs of any residents living at the home who have been assessed prior to and on admission as requiring nursing care.
This notice is confirmation of an award having been made due to an urgent circumstance under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023

BT197 - Chamberlain House Meals Service

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) has one contract that delivers a meals service to service users at Chamberlain House Day Centre. Chamberlain House is an in-house Day Centre service for older residents and supports up to 15 residents per day, five days per week Monday to Friday. Daily attendance is around eight (8) - 12 residents. Residents attend for a full day and most attend 3-5 days per week. Meal’s consumption over a week is: - Eight (8) – 12 meals per day equating to 40 - 60 meals per week. - Meals are two courses The current contract is due to expire 30 September 2025. New contracts need to be in place from 1 October 2025. RBKC is looking to procure a new service contract to replace this so the Council can meet its statutory duty in meeting assessed, eligible needs, achieve value for money and maintain current high-quality standards. Commissioners wish to procure a single supplier to deliver nutritious, hot meals, which meet users’ cultural and dietary requirements.

Provision of Continuing Healthcare Fast Track Services for Nursing Home Beds

The purpose of this Service is to deliver care within a Residential Care Home with Nursing (referred to from this point as a Nursing Home) for those patients who have been assessed as eligible for NHS Fast Track funded care, have expressed a preference for care in a Nursing Home and whose needs can be safely and appropriately managed in a Nursing Home. The Service is commissioned to provide dignity and assurance to people and their families when they are entering their final weeks of life and is expected to be safe, responsive and efficient. This includes enabling patients to achieve the best possible quality of life whatever their disease or disability, gender, ethnic background, or sexual orientation. <br/><br/>This will be achieved through the application of a holistic person-centred approach to care which is integrated seamlessly with all other health services, especially GP primary medical services and specialist palliative care services.<br/><br/>The aims of this Service are:<br/>• To deliver a responsive, caring and person-centred service for patients and their loved ones in the last weeks of life.<br/>• To facilitate prompt commencement of care in a Nursing Home, for patients identified as in the end stages of life under the NHS Continuing Healthcare Fast Track pathway.<br/>• To commission end of life care which is delivered by staff with enhanced levels of training and competencies in relation to end of life care. <br/>• To prevent inappropriate or avoidable admissions to hospital for end-of-life care.<br/><br/>Please note that all Lots are restricted to a maximum of 2 beds per nursing home, except for Lot 2 (which is 3 beds). You must be able to deliver the maximum number of beds stated for the Lot you are bidding for. Bids received with less than the maximum or more than the maximum stated Beds will be excluded. Prior Notice Published: UK-0339 The East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub intends to establish a multi-lot framework agreement to support the commissioning of services that address health inequalities and the wider determinants of health.
