Description

The undertaking of a suite of services to deliver planned and reactive highways asset management projects, as well as highway capital investment schemes, namely:

Service Part 1 - General Contract Management

Service Part 2 - Reactive Maintenance

Service Part 3 - Planned Maintenance and Improvements

Service Part 4 - Schemes

And Associated Professional Services.

The tenders were evaluated against some minimum competency and capability requirements, and those which passed that evaluation were then evaluated on the basis of a split of 50% quality (with 20% for social value) and 50% price for Lot 1a, while Lot 1b was assessed with a split of 60% quality (with 20% for social value) and 40% price.  A competitive tender exercise was undertaken in compliance with Contract Procedure Rule 7 and the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (Competitive Procedure with Negotiation).

Highways and Infrastructure Works Term Services Contract

In addition the council may order related professional services; Contractor assistance in response to civil contingencies and other emergencies; and a) construction of buildings associated with or inseparable from highways, passenger transport and active travel improvement schemes - such as buildings at bus interchanges; (b) construction of household waste recycling centres, waste transfer facilities and the like; (c) drainage, coastal and flood defence work; and (d) enabling works for developments undertaken by or on behalf of the Client.

CPU 5941 Planned Footpath & Cycleway Maintenance Framework

The Council is responsible to maintain those City Council highways which are 'adopted' and that are maintainable at the public expense. This framework is to deliver works in respect of Planned Footpath & Cycleway Maintenance works across Nottingham City Council's boundaries, as Principal Contractor.
