Description

We will be awarding to Field Studies Council for a residential biology field course in Wales as it provides us with the apporpriate accomodation and faciilities for staff and students.  The Field Studies Council location allows the students to study and develop their skills for  basic ecological techniques in woodland, meadow, river and sand dune systems, and identifying plants, insects and other invertebrates which are  essential for those Biological Science courses with an ecological component, especially Animal Biology and Conservation, Zoology and many of the general Biological Sciences students.  It also allows flexibility over the weather, long days frequently 9 am to 9 pm, only breaking for meals.  #  Field Studies Council is an environmental education charity who can provide field work and outdoor learning courses  in a number of locations that are  fully equipped to deal with group laboratory facilities, equipment needed for biological field work and dormitory accommodation.

Internship Placement Services

The University is looking to procure the services of suitably qualified and experienced organisations, worked with service providers to provide employability support, placement preparation, matching and in-placement support services to students of the Faculty of Engineering and Science suite of Masters with Industrial Placement programmes which include 12 months of study and 12 months on industrial placement. The University is also looking to expand elements of the provision to Undergraduate Graduate employability support as an enhancement from the Post Graduate provision, with the aim of preparing final year graduates with Employability skills for their specific industry that will give them the best possible graduate outcomes.
