Description

The Contractor(s) shall manage the waste received from Beyond Housing Ltd under the Service in an effective, efficient, environmentally, and economically sustainable manner.  The Services provided by the Contractor(s) in respect of all waste accepted by the Contractor shall: Ensure that Beyond Housing’s statutory obligations are fulfilled in terms of the Environment Protection Act (1990) and as amended under the Environment Act 2021 and the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011 (and Waste (England and Wales) Regulations (Amendment) 2014). Support the further reduction in annual quantities of municipal residual waste requiring disposal through the application of appropriate recycling and recovery processes. Increase the proportion of Municipal Waste from Beyond Housing sent for recycling. Divert materials for reprocessing using the proximity principle, with materials being reprocessed within the UK as a priority, elsewhere within the EU only if not possible within the UK,
