Description

Investment for 22 WAN circuits across 8 sites to be uplifted to 1Gb on 1Gb or 10Gb on 10Gb bearers for delivery this financial year.

The Connectivity services are being procured via a contract that was implemented originally by Norfolk Community Health & Care as an ''anchor tenant/header contract', contracted with Virgin Media Business (VMB) based on the technology being implemented from the Crown Commercial NS2 lot 1 under CCS RM3808.

The Trust's WAN connectivity and links have seen little to no investment or refresh for numerous years. As the NNUH is one of the largest acute teaching hospitals, the need for reliable connectivity has increased more and more. Demand for bandwidth across the Trust continues to increase, together with efficient and dependable connectivity/network infrastructure required to keep pace with this fast-moving technology sector, and to deliver the services required by the clinicians, the Trust team overall, and patients, alike.
