Description

The Cumbria Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (the Commissioner) intends to commission a programme of voluntary interventions with perpetrators of domestic violence and abuse and those at risk of becoming perpetrators of such abuse.
This preventative and early intervention programme will take a holistic approach working with perpetrators, victims and their families using restorative principals to prevent and reduce incidents of low to medium-level domestic abuse.
It will provide structured group work, individual work, or a combination of both, where perpetrators are challenged to recognise abuse & reflect on their own behaviour and its impact. Programmes can be tailored to respond to the needs of specific groups, whilst delivering a Service Model which is flexible to engage with and meet often complex individual needs.

Work Opportunities Service

Within Denbighshire, there are a range of in-house (Denbighshire County Council [DCC] managed) services providing specialist support to help people with complex disabilities to develop their social and work-based skills. These are known as Work Opportunities. Gaining work-based experience, learning new skills, socialising and/or having something meaningful to do are all important to people. People with complex disabilities often need specialist support with these things. The priority is to promote independence. It is important that these services reflect this approach, and that the services we commission support people to develop, to progress, and to be valued integral citizens in their local communities as well as aiding them in building skills that may ultimately assist them in obtaining meaningful employment. This contract is to provide direct support staff for a total of 74hrs of support per week across specific work opportunities sites within Denbighshire however this is subject to demand and will require flexibility. The provider will recruit and employ direct support staff who have the necessary skills and experience to be able to perform required tasks effectively. Support staff will be line managed directly by the Provider so that they feel supported in their roles. Whilst the Provider will retain all line management and supervision responsibilities, the day-to-day direction of the Provider staff for operational tasks within DCC settings will be via DCC staff/managers. The contract is for 5 years with the option to extend for a 3 further years renewable annually. TUPE Information is included in the tender pack.
