Description

Derry City and Strabane District Council invite suppliers to tender for PeacePlus Reimage-Recycle. This project is a soft-skills, environmental 1 year initiative (approximately) working with 80 adults on a cross-community basis on the topic of recycling, upcycling and zero-waste. Its key focus is within the Foyleside District Electoral Area (DEA) geographically but will require cross-community linkages elsewhere across the wider city and district to ensure the cross-community balance is achieved. Whilst open to all, recruitment will specifically target work with Men’s and Hen’s Sheds in the local Foyleside community as well as outreaching cross-community (including the Waterside) to engage adults with a learning or physical disability, adults with mental health issues, adults from BAME, Refugee and Asylum seeker identities and other interested participants from the wider city. The project delivery will have a strong emphasis on inclusion and understanding diverse needs and identities. The project will factor in reasonable adjustments for inclusion and equality to ensure reasonable access to participation. Workshops will teach the relevant skills to turn discarded items from the local recycling centre and/or own items into useful, new items. Importantly, there should be informal dialogue opportunities built into the project so that participants can make friends and understand some of each other’s life experiences. Some upcycling should ideally include the ‘re-imaging’ of types of bonfire materials (pallets, cable reels). Any products produced can be donated to assist local community groups, individuals in need, or kept – they should not be sold. Arising from the Co-design process in the Foyleside District Electoral Area (DEA), this project should strive to bring key benefit to that area. This project is under the Thriving and Peaceful Communities Theme. Please refer to the CfT documents for further detail.

Innovation Hub, Watford Borough Council

Tenders are invited to develop, deliver and operate an Innovation Hub within part of the Watford Town Hall Building, with the aim of generating income over the longer term for Watford Borough Council (WBC), accelerating growth in the local economy and securing worthwhile use of space within the Town Hall. The Innovation Hub project is part of a wider programme: the Town Hall Quarter – an ambitious and comprehensive 10-year programme of activity at the northern end of Watford High Street to realise a vision of: ‘a vibrant and thriving hub in the heart of the town, creating exciting new opportunities for our residents, businesses and community, contributing to Watford’s prosperity and success’ In September 2021 the Council approved a Strategic Business Case to develop an Innovation Hub. Following further development work, including wide market engagement, the Council has been successful in receiving government funding to develop an Innovation and Incubation Hub within the Town Hall. Since then, the Council has concentrated on the development of an Innovation Hub in the first instance, with scope in the future to expand this to include business incubation as well. The vision of the Innovation Hub is to: ‘act as a centre for the successful generation and exploitation of new ideas, to transform creative thinking into new products, and develop new and improved processes and technologies to support new ways of doing business.’ It is intended that the Innovation Hub will: •Make better use of Watford’s historic Town Hall, opening it up for greater community and business use, securing its long-term future and putting it firmly at the centre of the life of the town •Boost high quality jobs, offering an inspiring, dynamic and well-connected new space for people to work, start and grow their businesses •Generate work opportunities for our young people, providing attractive career paths and links to local employment The Council now wish to enter into a contract with a suitably experienced operator who would manage and deliver the services in the Hub. The intention is to appoint an operator in early 2026, in order that the operator can be involved, as early as possible, in the design process for the Hub. Please note the published contract value is an estimated income generating contract centred around profit share rather than an expenditure contract value. Drive Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Intervention - CPA/SPU/2667P

UK4 Tender notice Cheshire Constabulary would like to partner with a Provider to deliver a ‘Drive’ Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Intervention across Cheshire for an initial 18- month period. Funding to the PCC for Cheshire has been confirmed for the initial mobilisation and delivery of The Drive Project for the financial years 2025-2026 and 2026-27, however the exact allocation of funding is yet to be advised and in addition, will be pro-rated for year 1. Each year more than 100,000 people in the UK are at high and imminent risk of being murdered or seriously injured because of domestic abuse. Services rightly focus on meeting the needs of victims, but too often perpetrators are not held to account, and their abusive behaviour continues. Less than 1% of perpetrators get a specialist intervention that might prevent future abusive behaviour and as a result there is a high level of repeat victimization with the same victim or future partners / family members. To deliver long term sustainable change and reduce the number of victims – we must challenge perpetrators to stop. The intervention seeks to reduce offending in a high risk, high harm cohort of perpetrators. The anticipated contract value of £1.6m provided in this notice is based on the maximum annual allocation of funding for a full year of delivery, multiplied up to match the maximum contract duration. Year 1 funding will be pro-rata’d, however the actual amounts for year 1 and year 2 are yet to be confirmed. As this is grant funding, extension for years 3 and/or 4 and values are not guaranteed. Preliminary market engagement has not been conducted for this procurement, therefore a UK2 preliminary market engagement notice is not applicable. Expressions of Interest (and access to the tender documents) is via the Bluelight e-Procurement Portal at https://sell2.in-tend.co.uk/blpd/publictenders Registration is FREE. The Sell2Bluelight portal is separate to any other Sell2/In-tend systems you may already access. Register for Free at: https://sell2.in-tend.co.uk/blpd/register. User guide available at: https://bluelightcommercial.police.uk/media/2284/sell2bluelight-in-tend-full-supplier-guide.pdf The scope of the contract will include modifications; to cover such matters as changes in the drive programme; changes to meet emerging needs associated with the drive programme and also includes the options to extend to the maximum period stated.
