Description

Tenderers are invited to submit proposals for each of the following lots in respect to the waste management requirements of NLB. Please ensure that you understand the nature of the requirements. Each of the current methods of storage and management described below reflect current practice. NLB is committed to the achievement of future waste targets in line with Greening Government Commitment Targets, with a particular focus on the need for improved recycling capability and the pre-treatment of residual waste to landfill. NLB will consider alternative methods for handling, storage and disposal which are compatible and compliant with both best practise and current UK waste management legislation. There will be no limitation on the number of lots which will be awarded to any one supplier.
      Lot 1- Yard Waste (Oban)
      Lot 2- Food Waste (Edinburgh and Oban)
      Lot 3- Hazardous Waste (Wet) (Edinburgh and Oban)
      Lot 4- Hazardous Waste (Dry) (Edinburgh and Oban)
      Lot 5- WEEE Waste (Edinburgh and Oban)
      Lot 6- Scrap Metal (Oban)
      Lot 7- Comingled Dry Recycling (Edinburgh and Oban)

      To ensure that all Suppliers have the same information, we will respond to all queries and points of clarification raised by 21 October 2024
      
      The closing date for receipt of tender 28 October 2024.  You should note that NLB may seek amplifying information from Suppliers, or from third parties in amplification of any part of the submission.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
