Description

TfGM wanted to procure for a trial, a mix of equipment from a suitable supplier (camera trailer and camera vehicle for example) to monitor the level of compliance of mobile phone and seat belt use within Greater Manchester. 

TfGM know the rates of using a mobile phone whilst driving and not wearing a seat belt are much more prevalent than has been shown in the available collision stats. So as part of TfGM's commitment to Vision Zero there is a need to monitor compliance levels to help support the targets in this area.

TfGM will look to run the project for 5 weeks in approximately 4/5 locations. 

TfGM chose to direct award the contract for this trial, via the TfGM TPS framework, to the noted supplier.
