Description

KWL are seeking Sub-contractors to carry out Drain Jetting, Rodding, Repairs and Concreting within Hull City Council's portfolio of domestic properties.  It is the intention to award this tender to a maximum of 3 Sub-contractors.

The anticipated start date of the contract is 15 July 2024 and will run until 31 July 2026 with an option to extend the contract by a further year.  KWL reserve the right to change the timetable.

Contractors must note that the service to be provided is not an exclusive arrangement and to meet the conditions of our contracts KWL make seek other sub-contractors in the event of service failure.

Invitation to Tender for Building Statutory Compliance Works, Planned and Reactive Maintenance, and Minor Works Framework

This is a joint procurement exercise undertaken by South Ribble Borough Council, Chorley Borough Council, South Ribble Leisure Company and Chorley Leisure Company (Contract Authorities/CA). The Contracting Authorities have a continuing requirement for the provision of reactive and planned improvement works across the Authorities portfolio. The aim of this framework is to ensure statutory compliance and efficient maintenance of assets, including reactive repair and maintenance, and planned minor/improvement works that attain a high level of customer satisfaction. The framework will be broken up into 13 lots. Three bidders will be awarded per lot. A Bidding Organisation can only be awarded on a maximum of two lots. The number one ranked supplier in the lot will be awarded the servicing/call out element of the contract, the other two suppliers will be eligible to compete for higher-value projects throughout the lifecycle of the framework. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to use the second and/or third ranked contractor within the lot for service/call out element if they deem it necessary due to poor performance or capacity issues from the number one ranked contractor. The maximum number of successful bidders in each Lot may increase where two (2) or more bidders have tied scores. In instances of extreme urgency (i.e. Health and Safety issues) The Contracting Authority reserves the right to Direct Award higher value projects to the number one ranked supplier if deemed necessary. This is detailed further in document 4 (Specification). On Track Drain remediation services

The provision of services is to inspect, flush and remove any sludge, ballast or other waste contained within catch pits, pipes and drains (on-track) by means of high-capacity vacuum and high-pressure water jetting equipment. The supplier will be required to: • Provide labour, equipment and rail-borne machines to flush drains and extract waste. • Undertake minor repairs • Undertake site surveys prior to commencement of work, including the use of CCTV • Identify any protected species that may be in situ, identify any flood risk and the potential discharge to ground, coastal or surface waters • Removal / disposal of waste through appropriate licensed waste disposal processes, including testing for contaminants • Provision of drainage system photographs and diagrams to demonstrate the work undertaken in preparation for future maintenance activities Full details can be found in the tender documents.

Parish Lengthsman Contract (5 years)

This Service includes highway gully emptying and servicing. The contract duration will be for an initial Term of 5 years starting on the 1st April 2025 to provide a comprehensive Lengthsman Service recognising the Council's aims in maintaining the visual and environmental wellbeing of the area. The Contractor shall ensure that the highest standards of service delivery are provided and shall be expected to have visited all parts of the town and to have familiarised itself with the various areas of the town to which this Contract applies. In doing so they shall be deemed to have made an assessment of any problems likely to be encountered in accessing all land. No payments will be made in respect of additional cost incurred in dealing with any obstruction or access problems.
