Collectively our Members manage more than 90% of UK' social housing stock, with PfH helping them to achieve efficiency savings using a wide range of services including framework agreements, dynamic purchasing systems, spend analyses, strategy reviews, consolidated billing and comprehensive reporting. Fire Suppression System for Caister Waste Transfer Station

Norfolk County Council is seeking to let a contract for the provision of Fire Prevention Services for Caister Waste Transfer Station including a fully monitored fire suppression system. The expected contract commencement date is 13 August 2025. The installation completion date for phase 1 is as soon as possible but by no later than 31 January 2026. Warranty, maintenance, servicing and repair of phase 1 will commence the date of handover of Phase 1 and extend to include phase 2 on handover of phase 2. The required commencement date of phase 2 will be September 2026 (Subject to change and will be agreed with the successful provider). Installation and completion of phase 2 is by no later than 31 October 2026 (subject to change and will be agreed with the successful provider). A prior information notice was published on the 27 January 2025 Notice number IT-217-3010 Market engagement was undertaken under the 2015 regulations and the following was undertaken as part of that process. 24 July 2024 Site visit in Bedford to look at equipment and a demonstration of a fire protection system 18 July 2024 Teams meeting with a supplier that included a demonstration of a fire protection system 28 March 2023 In person meeting and site visit from a company providing fire protection systems to get some advice. November 2022 Email exchange and a meeting with a company providing fire protection systems. This followed advise from site operators already using this type of system. July 2022 Meeting with a company installing fire fighting systems. The information provided at these events was used to explore our options on what is available in the market place and help inform our specification of requirements.
