Description
• Disposal - removal, storage and subsequently dealing with surplus IT equipment. • Destruction - complete disablement of the equipment so that it cannot to be used for its original purpose. • Redeployment - the return of IT equipment or media that is within the current HMRC build specifications. • Collection - the transportation of IT equipment at the direction of HMRC. • Recycle - the processing of used IT equipment to prevent waste of potentially useful materials e.g., the recovery of precious metals. • Re-market - to act as the authorised agent in terms of marketing and management of IT equipment for sale The contract will need to accommodate kit collections across all HMRC locations and could also include facilitating alternative arrangements due to extensive numbers of staff who continue to work from home. It will need to link into the overall Device Strategy regarding refreshes and replacement of hardware (including but not limited to Laptops, Tablets, Smartphones and Network Hardware Devices e.g., switches, servers, and firewalls).
