Description

Broxtowe Borough Council (the Council) has a requirement to ensure that adequate facilities\r
are provided in the borough for the management and disposal of a variety of waste types from\r
its own facilities.\r
\r
The Council has divided the contract into 7 Lots which cover various different waste streams.\r
Contracts are expected to commence in June 2024 and run for 2 years with the possibility of a\r
further extension of up to 12 months at the discretion of the Council. Contractors are invited to\r
bid for any or all the Lots.

Residual Waste: Treatment and Disposal

Norfolk County Council has a requirement to arrange for the Treatment and/or Disposal of residual waste that has not been sent for reuse, recycling or composting via the WCAs' arrangements or via the County Council's Recycling Centre services. This particular Framework Contract is intended to allow for short to medium term treatment and / or disposal of residual waste, including possible pre-treatment of waste, to address a shortfall in the capacity of the Council's current arrangements to deal with residual waste, to address other short-term needs and to allow for options to pre-treat bulky waste to be developed.
