Description

1.	The City and County of Swansea is seeking to enter a Contract with a suitably competent Contractor with a licensed facility with sufficient capacity to collect, haul and process for re-use/recycling/recovery street sweeping and gulley wastes delivered to the nominated reception point from the Council's cleansing operations in a manner which complies fully with all waste legislation, using methods designed to maximise the Reuse/Recycling/Recovery of such materials

Swansea Council collect co-mingled glass bottles, glass jars, steel cans, aerosol cans and aluminium cans from 105,000 properties within Swansea. The co-mingled material is segregated at its Baling Plant in Llansamlet, Swansea resulting in separate waste streams of steel (ferrous) cans and aluminium cans. Ferguslie Park Housing Association - Two Year Bulk Uplift Collection Services Contract

The Contract applies to houses and flatted properties belonging to Ferguslie Park Housing Association within the Ferguslie Park area of Paisley. (Refer Tender Document 5 for further information). The Contract term will be for an initial two year period with optional annual 1 year + 1Year + 1 Year extensions up to a maximum contract duration of five years overall. The decision to award the contract extensions will be at the discretion of Ferguslie Park Housing Association and will be on the basis of one year increments. Bidders should note that the list of properties and scope of works required to be carried out may increase or decrease during the contract period. Bidders are also advised that Ferguslie Park Housing Association may extend the Contract to additional properties within Paisley to take account of any changes to requirements or new stock acquired during the Contract.
