Description

The council has a responsibiity to ensure our heating systems are safe and well maintained. The council must complete an annual gas service every year to all properties with gas appliance, approx 4200. As part of this works contract we also respond to the breakdown of heating systems and also upgrade them. This procurement will also identify a provider that can support the council on its renewables programme.

Mechanical and Electrical refurbishment works - Lathkilldale and Kirtley

DCG have a requirement for Phase 1 of Lathkilldale refurbishment located at Broomfield Hall at DE7 6DN and Kirtley AC located at the Roundhouse DE24 8JE over the summer period completing on 29.08.25 in time for the new academic year in September. Nunnery Depot Heating Replacement

A new Low Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) heating system is to be installed to serve the Workshop area. The existing LTHW system, which currently supplies unit heaters located around the perimeter of the workshop, shall be decommissioned and removed. Two new circuits shall be introduced: one variable temperature LTHW circuit serving the radiant panels and one constant temperature LTHW circuit serving localised fan convectors within floor pits, a unit heater in an area off the main workshop and a new ceiling void mounted fan coil unit on the first floor replacing the exiting located there currently. The current variable temperature LTHW heating circuit serving the existing office is to be retained but new controls/sensors installed to allow connection to the proposed new Building Management System.
