Description

Derry City and Strabane District Council invite suppliers to tender for a PeacePlus Green Clubs. The Green Clubs Project is an environmental 'green' transformation of sports clubs on a cross-community basis. It focuses on the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals, leadership and capacity, best-practice sharing, practical environmental work and ‘green club toolkit’ dissemination. The appointed contractor will be required to communicate with and engage regularly on the project with the DCSDC Green Infrastructure Team who will oversee practical delivery, whilst the PEACE Team manage contractual and reporting arrangements. Each year 5 sports clubs will be recruited (across a range of sports, geography and identity) with 20 participants each taking part in a 'menu' of cross-community programming. Programme is adapted (with permission) from the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) Green Clubs initiative and covers 5 themes: Energy, Water, Waste, Biodiversity and Travel and Transport. Derry City and Strabane District Council are seeking an organisation to co-ordinate and deliver a cross-community women's leadership programme examining exploring cultural traditions and beliefs. Building women’s groups to engage in intergenerational and cross community activities and initiatives. Will cater for diverse ability levels and in particular young women who are at the beginning of their peace building journey. Includes 1 study visit. 2. Learning Together Programme: Good Relations/Cultural Diversity. Facilitates participants to explore each other cultures through workshops, relevant visits and 1 day trip. Cultivates mutual understanding, challenging perceptions/prejudice, forms friendships, trust and opens respectful and informed dialogue. 3. Learning Together Programme: Health and Wellbeing. Facilitates participants to explore each other’s cultures through workshops, relevant visits and 1 day trip. Cultivates mutual understanding, awareness of relevant health and wellbeing issues and skills, forms friendships, trust and opens respectful and informed dialogue. Derry City and Strabane District Council invite suppliers to tender for PeacePlus Ballyarnett Early Years. Derry City and Strabane District Council are seeking an organisation to co-ordinate and deliver an Early Years project focused within Ballyarnett DEA (predominantly CNR) but will outreach to recruit Parents, Toddlers and Early Years from across the City, District and Cross-border to meet cross-community requirements. The project will consist of 2 specific elements: 1. Parents and toddler’s-based element: Minimum target of 50 participants (Mixture of parents and children mainly under 5) engage in a range of workshops relevant to ages and stages of development. Includes Respecting Difference aspect to help break the cycle of sectarianism, racism, xenophobia and ‘othering’ in all its forms to ensure a better society for all children. 2. Early Years Staff shared knowledge element: Engages 5 Early Years organisations for 1 year in visits to each other’s centers, preschool and early year’s classrooms to see how they operate and engage with the children and parents in their community. Sharing knowledge, learning, and expertise and building each group’s skills and confidence in their roles as early year’s educators. Derry City and Strabane District Council invite suppliers to tender for PeacePlus Arts and Collaborative Resilience. Derry City and Strabane District Council are seeking an organisation to co-ordinate and deliver this project which is a strategic level arts project within Derry City and Strabane District Council’s (DCSDC’s) PEACEPLUS Action Plan. The project aims to increase collaborative and strategic working within the core community arts and culture sector. It links strongly to the DCSDC Arts and Cultural Strategy (Sectoral Investment Plan 2021) and will require regular engagement with the Arts and Culture Manager, John Kerr to ensure a co-ordinated approach with council’s services in this area and to maximise the benefit and legacy of the project. Working with the DCSDC Arts Service, the successful tenderer will bring together a target of 26+ Arts and Cultural Sector organisations from within the council area. It will develop 2 areas of cross-community collaboration to leverage economies of scale for the participating organisations, enhancing collective sustainability. Arising from the Co-design process across the entire district, this project should strive to bring key benefit across the geography of the council area. Cross-border engagement into Donegal is also welcome where relevant, as many of the audiences for arts and cultural activity area cross-border.
