Description

Calderdale Council’s Branching Out Children and Young Peoples Drug and Alcohol Service is a substance misuse service delivered as part of Calderdale’s Integrated Recovery and Treatment offer to improve the health and well-being of young people.
The service will deliver:
•	Preventative and early interventions aimed at minimising and reducing new demand.
•	Parenting interventions for parents who misuse substances aimed at minimising the impact of the substance misuse on children.
The service is an integral element of the children’s partnership, working together with a range of key services that provide services to children, young people, and their families to improve outcomes and support children and young people to live happy and healthy lives. The drug strategy, From Harm to Hope, details an approach to address substance misuse by tackling supply, supporting individuals who require treatment and recovery and reducing demand for drugs.
