Description

Westmorland and Furness Council requires Service Providers to provide various Winter maintenance services within the Council area to support out internal highway’s teams as follows:
Tractor and Gritter Routes - Provision of tractor and driver to carry out gritting services to specific winter routes using either the suppliers own gritter or a Council provided gritter.
Ad hoc Drivers – Provision of drivers on an ad-hoc basis to drive Council Gritting vehicles.
Snow Clearance - Provision of operated plan and equipment to carry out snow clearance works.

Highways Winter Service Framework

The Council is seeking to establish a Highways Winter Service Framework. The Framework will be divided into 8 Lots. Winter Service is such that the amount of work required will invariably change each year. The winter season runs from 1st October to 1st May and runs a 24/7 service. The Winter Service will be carried out using gritters, vehicles, associated winter services plant and appropriately-trained drivers provided by the contractor. CP2676-25 Purchase of Pre-Owned Gritters and Combined Part Exchange

Devon County Council (DCC) are looking to request quotations for the purchase of a number of Preowned Salt Spreaders (Gritters) and combined part exchange. DCC are requesting quotes for five 18 tonne gritters 6m3 vehicles. The detailed specification and requirements for these vehicles can be found in the tender documentation. The offered vehicles must, at a minimum meet ALL of the requirements listed in the specification. Additionally, as part of this process DCC wish to Part exchange a number of our existing vehicles as part of this transaction and bidders will also be required to include pricings as part of their price submission, payable to the council for the Part Exchange of the listed Vehicles.
