Services Required:

Support Innovate UK, Innovate UK Business Connect, Innovate UK Business Growth, and Catapult Network establish and communicate their products and services and position within the innovation landscape.  
Work with Innovate UK Business Connect teams to understand individual projects requirements, timelines, and budgets.
Ensure Innovate UK and Innovate UK Business Connect core messages are embedded throughout the content and have the following strategic themes in mind; Net Zero, Digital and Technologies, Healthy Living and Agriculture, Place, People, Products and Services (our offer).  
Work on-site at events maintaining a high level of professional conduct at all times.
Produce quality virtual events of high visual standard to engage our audience, streamed via our various channels.
Provide remote event support services to ensure that our events run hitch free.
Provide professional on-site webcasting services for hybrid events with visually engaging content for our online audience, with options for speakers to connect remotely.
Provide post webinar production services to edit recordings to high standard.

In response to this Statement of Works, please provide the information listed below.

Short narrative describing how you would approach the project i.e., your design approach, suppliers you may have to collaborate with to deliver etc.
One or more examples of a campaign you have previously taken from concept through to roll out. If you do not have an example of this work, please select a suitable alternative piece of work, and associated narrative.
Initial schedule of costs. Recognising that this would be subject to change and within the constraints of the overall budget, suppliers are asked to submit a timeline of estimated costs for the duration of the project i.e., 1st June 2024 - 31st March 2025
A completed copy of the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire.
Additional Information. Innovate UK Business Connect invite suppliers to provide any additional information in the form of video content, imagery, or links, which provide supporting evidence that suppliers recognise and work in accordance with Innovate UK Business Connect values as an organisation. Suppliers might include evidence of environmental management practices, environmental or social aims and social responsibility, diversity and inclusion policy and practices.

Submissions will be scored equally against the following five areas; understanding of the innovation landscape; previous experience and sample work; approach to working relationship; value for money; alignment with Innovate UK Business Connect values.  Submissions will be subject to IR35 checks prior to award date.

SMART Digital & Productivity Accelerator

The Client is seeking to engage with quality providers to deliver a service that will provide industry specific diagnostics and specialised support to organisations in Wales. To enable and support Welsh organisations to improve productivity and accelerate NPD through embracing digital technologies, employing an Industry 5.0 approach to create a more resilient and sustainable business base. The service will cover two types of specialist support: -Advice on Digital methods for improving Productivity -Advice on Digital methods for accelerating New Product Development The main objectives of the service are: To support Welsh organisations as directed by the Welsh Government, who wish to improve their understanding and use of digital technologies and productivity tools, by introducing relevant actions, technology and expertise. To introduce new and enhanced digital activities in key areas to support organisations to develop and commercialise new and improved products and processes. The service will also introduce organisations to the Well-being of Future Generations explaining the relevance of the Sustainable Development principle and the Five Ways of Working. The successful bidder will be awarded an initial 12-month contract with the option to extend annually for a further 2 years on a plus 12-months plus 12 months basis. A maximum budget of up to GBP 277,500 per annum (excluding VAT) has been allocated to deliver the contract. Please be aware this is a demand led service, therefore there is no guaranteed level of expenditure. The maximum value is based on historical need for the contract and the maximum funding we have available.

START School: Programme Evaluation

Launched in 2023, START is an exciting two-year pilot programme for the West of England region, delivered by a consortium of four universities: The University of the West of England, Bristol (UWE Bristol), The University of Bristol, The University of Bath, and Bath Spa University. Led by UWE Bristol, in partnership with techSPARK, the pioneering programme is funded by the West of England Combined Authority and provides a package of support and development for innovative pre-start and early formation tech businesses across the Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Bath and North-East Somerset regions. The START programme is designed for those who have an innovative tech focussed start-up idea and would like to develop it further. Programme provision includes 28 hours of business focussed workshops, mentoring and access to shared networks and investment opportunities. Upon completion, participants are additionally able to pitch for a place in a local university-led start-up incubator for a further 6 months. START aims to: • Support employment uplift from creation of new, fast growth businesses • Help increase diversity and representation of tech start-up founders • Develop businesses that will generate sustainable economic growth Consultant Brief We are looking for an external consultant to undertake an evaluation of the START School programme, reviewing the successes, learnings and outcomes from the project. We are asking the appointed consultant to review the following areas, in addition to any others they may find appropriate: • Appropriateness of initial design • Progress against targets • Delivery and management • Outcomes and impact • Value for money • Lessons learnt The project team will work alongside the consultant to identify all appropriate data and contact beneficiaries. We are looking for potential consultants to approach us with innovative evaluation ideas and who have a particular focus on our target groups of programme participants. Applications Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of evaluating local government funded projects, particularly projects working with our key target audiences. Applications will be assessed against the following criteria: 1. Experience of: a. working with pre-start and early formation businesses b. evaluating schemes targeting support for early formation businesses c. Working to evaluate local government funded programmes 2. Delivery plan 3. Value for money This information will need to be compiled into one document and submitted prior to the deadline. Please also provide us with your proposed fee for delivery of the above contract. There is a maximum budget of £15,000 (inclusive of VAT) committed for this work.
