This WP will explore the different levers to unlock net zero skills delivery, including:
* To establish stronger partnership working between businesses/supply chain (demand-side) and skills providers (supply-side) to ensure the delivery of the Staffordshire Net Zero Roadmap (WP1) through the improvement of net zero skills supply and demand matching i.e. employers supporting net zero careers, education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) activities and co-developing net zero curriculum and training programmes.

The purpose of the commission is to identify the up-to-date position in respect of the Preferred Growth Scenario and to understand how this sits in the context of growth aspirations across the region. The Council intends to publish its Deposit Plan for consultation in January/February 2026 and this will need to be informed by up-to-date population and household projections based upon the Preferred Growth Scenario. The Council reserves the right to engage the successful Consultant for the provision of additional consultancy, subject to the availability of further funding. services should further funding become available.
