Description

This framework aims to facilitate the procurement of high-quality door furniture to support the maintenance and enhancement of Swansea Council's infrastructure, ensuring safety, security, and aesthetic value across its properties.  The framework encompasses the purchase of a diverse range of door/uPVC furniture items, catering to both domestic and commercial requirements. This tender focuses on procuring door furniture, covering a spectrum of domestic and commercial door fixtures, fire door fixtures, and associated components.  The pricing schedule will cover various types of hinges, handles, locks, knobs, closers, letterplates, and associated accessories
The framework is designed to enlist a select group of suppliers for effective procurement of door/uPVC furniture. To maintain a competitive yet manageable pool, the framework intends to list a maximum of 10 suppliers. The selection process for these suppliers will adhere to the criteria of the most economically advantageous bid for each specific item or product.
Orders placed before 12:00 noon should be available for collection within 8 hours or delivered within 72 hours.

This framework is the successor to our current C8 Communal Doors framework and has been retitled to better reflect its content. This framework is designed for the installation, renewal, and associated works for a wide range of fire doorsets across LHCPG clients domestic, commercial, and mixed use premises. The scope covers various materials, including timber, composite, and steel, along with access control provision, ensuring flexibility to meet different project requirements. For timber and composite door products only, this framework includes the installation of fully certified and bi-directionally tested fire-resisting door sets to meet current and future fire safety standards. The scope may also extend to other building openings, and non-fire-rated doors, provided these elements do not form the majority of the works and are not the core focus of the works. External & Communal Pre Construction Services and Works to Houses Framework Multiple Supplier Framework (of up to three contractors per Lot) to undertake various services and works related to improvement and planned maintenance works, by means of Pre-construction Services Call-offs and Works Call-offs. This Framework is to be split into 3no Lots as follows: LOT 1, Pre-Construction Services and External works, to low rise properties LOT 2, Pre-Construction Services and External works, to high rise properties LOT 3, Pre-Construction Services and Communal works, to low rise and high rise properties The following descriptions are indicative of the types of services and works that may be commissioned under each Lot. In addition, other similar services and works may also be commissioned. Bidders should note that the estimated value below consists of the provisional budget allocated within the capital plan for all contractors. The actual value per contractor will be expected to be a much smaller proportion following distribution of work amongst an anticipated 3no framework contractors per lot. Work and budgets per contractor will also be affected by work carried out by direct in-house resources, contingency allowances, non-access to properties, efficiency savings, and subject to regular reviews and re-allocations of priorities by the Council.
