Description

Local authorities are mandated under the Local Authorities Regulations 2013 to commission comprehensive open access sexual health services, including LARC and the costs of medication/devices associated with their commissioned services. Lincolnshire County Council are seeking to commission local GP Practices to provide long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs), including intrauterine contraception (IUC) methods and contraceptive subdermal implants (SDI). Providers can choose to provide either IUC or SDI services, or both. \r

The Council are establishing an Open Select List (OSL) of Providers to deliver LARC provision to Lincolnshire's eligible population from April 2024. The purpose of the OSL is to ensure that we have consistent services and standard pricing and terms and conditions for the LARC service. There will be no restrictions on the number of providers able to be accepted on the OSL.\r

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Contract Notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The contract term is for a period of 2-years commencing 01 April 2025 with the option to extend by a further 2-years at the discretion of the Relevant Authority and subject to satisfactory contractual and financial performance. The maximum financial threshold is 650,000 GBP per annum. Competition documentation will be available on the e-tendering site from 12:00 Noon on 19/09/2024. The closing time and date for submission of competition response is by 12:00 Noon on 09/10/2024.
