Description

This Tender was issued by the Council in connection with a competitive procurement being conducted in accordance with the Regulations.
The Council invited Tenders from suitably qualified, licenced and experienced economic operators ‘Bidders’ for the collection of food waste and the kerbside-sorted collection, treatment and onward sale of dry recyclables, for approximately 58,000 households in the inner city, including an estimated 10,000 apartments.

        
The Tender set out the information which was required by the Council to assess the suitability of Bidders' experience, organisational and financial standing to meet the ITT requirement. In addition to this, quality, social value, and pricing proposals was also be assessed before any contract award was made.

Collection and Recycling of Mattresses from LondonEnergy Sites

LondonEnergy wish to invite prospective suppliers to bid for the collection, treatment and recycling of the following service and/material streams: Mattresses 20 03 07 for a contract period of 2 years, with option to extend for 2 additional years on an annual basis (2+1+1). Contract commencement date: September 2025 The tender shall be for ONE LOT for the Collection and Recycling of Mattresses across 9 locations in the North London Area including LondonEnergy Waste Transfer Stations and Reuse and Recycling Centers (RRC's). Applicable bids will be assessed on Recycling Rates and price. Mattresses are generated through Local Authority collection services in North London and are free from institutional mattresses or any other items that may currently be classified as POPs. (see attached specification for more details) Required weekly collections (based on 2024 volumes) are as outlined in column G in the above table. Whilst we expect inputs will fluctuate, expectation is the for the winning bidder to provide set collection days for each facility that will form part of the contract KPI's. Please note: Due to space Restrictions on site, the collection service at our Public Reuse and Recycling Centers (RRC's) is carried out using Refuse collection vehicles (RCV's) Loads from our Waste Transfer Stations will be collected on articulated vehicles which will be loaded by LondonEnergy using 360 mobile plant. Hornsey Street WTS will be delivered by LondonEnergy as a third party collection vehicles are not compatible with this sites compaction loading equipment.
