Property Flood Resilience Framework 2 (PFR2)

Description

The Environment Agency (EA) has successfully awarded a framework to enable PFR schemes to be delivered successfully. It will help ensure that residential and commercial properties are better protected from the threat of flooding.
 
The Framework includes two Lots:
 
- Lot 1: Survey, Options & Quality Assurance.
- Lot 2: Detailed Design & Construction.
 
The Framework will be delivered through a Regional single organisation model, aligned to the EA's Integrated Delivery Teams (IDTs). Each of the six EA hub-based IDTs has its own Lot 1 and Lot 2 organisation (for clarity, a single Lot 1 provider AND a single Lot 2 provider in each hub). Regional Lot references are shown below:

Lot 1:
1a. North-East (NE)
1b. North-West (NW)
1c. Midlands
1d. South-West (SW)
1e. South-East (SE)
1f. Eastern
 
Lot 2:
2a. North-East (NE)
2b. North-West (NW)
2c. Midlands

The Framework will run for a maximum of four years (initial two year period plus one optional two year extension).
 
This framework is primarily intended to meet the needs of the Agency. However, services/works may be provided on the same terms to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and to its associated bodies including any Agencies and non-departmental public bodies, others (the Defra Group) and any other Flood Risk Management Authorities designated under the Flood and Water Management Act 2010. 

The Agency may also require the provision of the services/works to members of the aforementioned Defra Group via the Agency, rather than directly.

Services/works may also be provided to local authorities in England and Wales. A full list may be found at http://www.gov.uk/find-local-council
 
Services/works may be provided on the same terms to the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency, the Northern Ireland Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, Forestry Commission Scotland, or Forestry Service Northern Ireland.
 
Services/works may also be provided to Central Government departments, executive agencies, and other NDPBs.

Geothermal Projects Consultancy Services

The University of York ("the University") wishes to award a Framework Agreement to a small number of Consultants who have specific and market leading experience in deep geothermal well drilling, or equivalent deep well drilling and operating projects, and this invitation to tender is intended to secure the services of such specialists.
