Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) Council has a statutory duty to provide a local Healthwatch to the people living in B&NES. B&NES Council also have a broader leadership role in health and care, promoting wellbeing and tackling health inequalities through their public health function and integration with health colleagues in Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) Integrated Care Board (ICB). Healthwatch contributes to the bigger picture by supporting local authorities and their partners to achieve health and care strategic aims and ambitions by bringing people's voices into the heart of commissioning and delivery. Local Healthwatch finds out what people like and could be improved about services and shares these views with those who commission and provide health and care and have the power to make change happen. Healthwatch also helps people find the information they need about services in their area. In addition to the statutory Healthwatch responsibilities, this tender also includes specific requirement for the provider to support and enable people receiving care, or carers of people receiving care, to contribute to and coproduce strategic commissioning plans and/or services.\r

The contract will run from 1st April 2024 for 3 years, with the potential for an additional up to 12 months' extension.

Retender Greater Essex Individual Placement and Support for Severe Mental Illness (IPS for SMI)

Essex County Council as lead commissioner is seeking to procure a service for Individual Placement and Support for Serious Mental Illness (IPS for SMI). The IPS for SMI is an employment support service integrated with secondary care mental health services to assist people who experience severe mental health conditions to find paid work. ECC is the lead commissioner for this service on behalf of the three ICBs in Essex, namely Mid and South Essex (MSE), Hertfordshire and West Essex (HWE ), and Suffolk and North East Essex (SNEE). Please note that this service will not cover Hertfordshire or Suffolk. For the purposes of this procurement, this service is an ALL Essex service, which includes the Unitary Authorities of Southend and Thurrock. The contract will have an initial term of 3 years (36 months), with an option to extend for a period of no more than 2 years (24 months) at the discretion of the commissioners. The contract value for a potential 5 year duration is capped at £1,600,000 per annum or £8,000,000 for 5 years. The service is expected to deliver IPS access to 1244 unemployed people aged 18 or over, each contract year.

Tender for Strategic Partner: Delivery of Residential and Nursing Care in Gloucestershire County Council Estate.

Gloucestershire County Council are seeking to procure a partner for the delivery of Residential and Nursing Care Services in 5 homes. The authority intends to award Master Service Agreement (MSA) A five-year contract commencing on 01 February 2026 and expiring on 31 January 2031, with the option for the agreement to be extended by up to five years initially and then for further periods of up to five years if mutually agreed by the Parties such that the Expiry Date is the last day of the current extended Term, provided always the Expiry Date shall be no later than 31 January 2040. This contract is being procured under the Light Touch Regime. The Council will issue statements of services for the first five homes and the Council may issue statements of services for further Homes in the future depending on requirement. The Council may, during the term of the contract require services be provided at additional Homes. In the event that the Council issues a Statement of Services for one or more Homes in addition to the initial tranche of five Homes, the Statement of Services Fee will be based on the prices stated in the Pricing Schedule, taking into account the indexation applied by the Council to its bed rates in the period from the Commencement Date plus any other reasonable increases in the Provider's pricing due to external factors such as minimum pay rates and inflation. The preliminary market engagement was conducted ( over 12 months) prior to the commencement of the Procurement Act 2023; a Preliminary Market Engagement Notice was therefore not published
