Description

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (The Trust) has awarded a contract for ongoing servicing and maintenance of the medical gas pipeline system (MGPS) located at the Nottingham City Hospital (The Services).
 
The purpose of the Services is to ensure the Trust complies with Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) 02-01 as well as applicable standards and relevant legislation.
 
The objective is to ensure the provision of safe and reliable medical gas pipeline system (MGPS) for administering of medical gases (E.g. oxygen) to patients under the care of the Trust.

The Term is 24 months to 30 April 2026 with the option to extend for a further 36 months. This extension shall take the form of three 12 month incremental periods.

An MGPS comprises a source of supply, pipeline distribution system, terminal units (to which the 
user connects and disconnects medical equipment) and a warning/alarm system. Systems include for, but are not limited to, provision of: oxygen, nitrous oxide and medical air for respiratory and surgical applications.
 
To ensure the MGPS operates safely and reliably, the Trust requires a contractor to provide regular planned preventative maintenance to mitigate risks of faults or failures occurring as well as reactive maintenance services, such as call outs. A minor issue, such as a leak in the pipeline for example, may have major consequences such as patient fatality as a result of oxygen deprivation.

Planned Preventative Maintenance of Trend Building Management Systems (BMS)

CCC site currently utilise a range of BMS software and hardware, while this is predominantly Trend the range of devises include (IQVision, Trend 963, Distech and Carel). Current maintenance is fragmented and reactive and does not deliver best value for CCC. Compliance Services

Norwich City Council ((NCC) is seeking to appoint a single contractor to deliver a long-term Compliance Services Contract covering (but not restricted to) statutory inspection, testing, servicing, maintenance, repairs and associated upgrades across its housing stock and communal areas. The scope of services will include, but is not limited to, emergency and communal lighting, fire alarms and detection systems, automatic opening vents, warden call systems, domestic flat entrance door inspections, lateral and rising mains, access control systems, high-rise building ventilation, lightning protection, cold water storage tanks, dry risers, legionella risk assessments, and refuse chute cleaning. The procurement will be conducted under the Open Procedure in line with the Procurement Act 2023 and associated Procurement Regulations 2024, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the Most Advantageous Tender, using a 60/40 quality to price weighting. The primary CPV code for this procurement is 50710000 (Repair and maintenance services of electrical and mechanical building installations), with additional relevant CPV codes covering specialist workstreams including legionella risk assessments, refuse chute cleaning, fire alarm systems, electrical installations and mechanical engineering works. The services are to be delivered across Norwich and the wider Norfolk area. NCC reserve the right to cancel the procurement and not to proceed with the Contract at any stage of the procurement process. NCC also reserves the right not to award the Contract. Neither NCC nor any person on whose behalf this procurement is undertaken is to be liable for any costs incurred by those expressing an interest or tendering for the Contract.
