Description

North Wales Together: seamless services for people with learning disabilities invites submissions to deliver a 5-stage supported employment / specialist job coaching services to individuals aged 14 plus with diagnosed learning disabilities. The supported employment service(s) are a key part of the of the North Wales Regional Supported Employment Model which has been developed to respond the North Wales Supported Employment Strategy for people with learning disabilities. The model is being implemented within each of the six North Wales County Councils social work service for people with learning disabilities. The aim of the model is to establish access to paid employment as new care pathway within these services and thereby provide individuals with learning disabilities equal opportunity to be in paid employment based on informed choice.

Mental Health Supported Accommodation Service

Slough Borough Council is seeking to commission suitably experienced provider(s) for a mental health supported accommodation service across two lots for adults with severe and enduring mental illness. The service will cover: Lot 1 – High-Support Step-Down Mental Health Supported Accommodation (accommodation-based, 24/7 staffing, waking night cover) for people stepping down from hospital or similar intensive settings (up to 10 beds) Lot 2a – Medium-High Support Mental Health Supported Accommodation for people who no longer require high support but still need a structured, staffed environment (up to 10 beds). Lot 2b – Low Support Step-Down Accommodation with Floating Support for people preparing to move on to fully independent living, with time-limited, tapered outreach support (up to 6 beds). The services will be required to operate across three or more buildings in Slough, providing self-contained accommodation with integrated housing-related support, recovery-focused key-working and strong links with Community Mental Health Services, primary care and wider community resources. The pathway is designed to: enable timely, safe discharge from hospital and prevent avoidable admission promote recovery, wellbeing and independence reduce out-of-area placements and long-term institutional care improve tenancy sustainment and prevent homelessness reduce use of crisis and inpatient services The main role of the Lots, taken together, is to provide a step-down and progression pathway from higher levels of support into ordinary housing, with time-limited resettlement support after move-on. The contract will commence on 1 July 2026 for a one year period with an option to extend for a further 12 months. We are holding a Supplier Engagement event on 19th December 2025 at 10am. This is an invitation to tender for the development and delivery of a Construction Employment Academy for 2025/26 (and subject to funding, a 2026/27 academy) on behalf of Derry City and Strabane District Council’s Labour Market Partnership, hereby known as DSLMP. Labour Market Partnership Labour Market Partnerships (LMPs) have been established in each NI Council area to help improve employability outcomes and labour market conditions locally by working through coordinated, collaborative, multi-agency partnerships, achieving regional objectives whilst being flexible to meet the needs presented by localised conditions and helping to connect employers with employees. Funded by the Department for Communities (DfC), LMPs play a key collaborative and supporting role in Employability NI’s approach to supporting those who are unemployed to get back to work. Employability NI is designed to provide a range of interventions that can evolve over time. These interventions will aim to: • Deliver a reduction in economic inactivity and long-term unemployment. • Provide increased support for those with health conditions and disabilities. • Create a mechanism for Central Government to collaborate with Local Councils and other Departments to offer local solutions and interventions. The innovative LMP approach has been introduced to ensure employability delivery is reflective of the local area / communities and resident and employer needs.
