Description

Oldham Council is seeking to create a temporary accommodation (TA) framework consisting of highly skilled, socially aware and reputable providers to assist with the delivery of statutory temporary accommodation provision under Part VII of the Housing Act 1996.
The framework will be split into the following lots:
• Lot 1: Nightly Paid Provision Framework
 Lot 1.1 – Bedsit accommodation
 Lot 1.2 – One bed accommodation
 Lot 1.3 – Two bed accommodation
 Lot 1.4 – Three bed accommodation
 Lot 1.5 – Four bed accommodation
• Lot 2: Housing Repairs & Maintenance
 Lot 2.1 – Building and Joinery Work
 Lot 2.2 – Plumbing, Heating, Gas and Boiler Works
 Lot 2.3 – Electrical Work
 Lot 2.4 – Clean and Cleanse
 Lot 2.5 – Painting and Decorating

GB-Edinburgh: Refurbishment and Redecoration of Lady Isle Lighthouse

Lady Isle Lighthouse is situated on a small, flat, uninhabited Island, 2 miles east of Troon, in the Firth of Clyde, Scotland at Latitude 55 31.6 N, Longitude 444.0 W, with Ordnance Survey Ref NS 27535 29341. The island is around 0.6 kilometres long and rises to a maximum height of just 6 metres above sea level. The lighthouse was built on the island by David A Stevenson in 1903, and flashes a white light 4 times every 30 seconds. The island is covered in knee-high vegetation in the summer, and is generally uneven underfoot. It is also home to large breeding colonies of seals, gulls, cormorants and shags as well as many other rarer bird species. Until the 1990's, the island was designated as a 'Wild Bird Sanctuary' under the Protection of Birds Act 1954 and was historically classified as an 'Area of Special Protection'. These restrictions have now been lifted, however, NLB are aware of a significant number of ground nesting birds from late spring until early autumn. The works should therefore take place between October 2025 and March 2026. The proposed works will comprise of civil maintenance repair works and the application of decorative / protective coatings to the external / internal elevations of the lighthouse tower. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
