Description

Cheshire East Council is seeking a contractor to supply and plant approximately 28,500 trees/shrubs at Long Lane, Peover, Knutsford (approx. 16 ha). The contractor will also be expected to carry out maintenance of the site/trees for the initial contract period of 3 years. The contract will include 2 x 12-month optional extensions, therefore maintenance may be required for up to a further 2 years.\r

Southwater Parish Council owns and operates various open spaces and woodland across the Parish of Southwater. It is the intention to undertake a contract for the works identified as scheduled in the independent Tree Survey conducted in November 2024. Nematodes - Survey, Supply & Apply Framework 2025-29

NRW is responsible for the management of the Welsh Government Woodland Estate (WGWE) and land in our care. This framework is required for a contractor resource to survey, supply and the apply nematodes to forestry clearfell sites, prior to commencement of restocking operations, in order to provide effective biological control of the large pine weevil Hylobius abietis. Pine weevils are a major forestry pest which threaten the viable establishment of new tree crops.
