Overhead Line LiDAR scanning

Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission Plc. (the "SHET"), seeks a market leading supplier(s) of overhead line LiDAR scanning. The solution will be delivered in PLS-CADD design file and ArcGIS file formats. SHET has identified 4887km of overhead lines in scope for this project, the detail of which will be supplied as shape files readable by GIS software packages. The solution is expected to be a framework for this project and potential future purchases. The solution must provide LiDAR scanning of sufficient resolution to capture the overhead line including sag between transmission structures, the condition of transmission structures, the terrain and surrounding objects to a total width not less than 150m, centred on the overhead lines. Digital stills will be taken of transmission structures and incorporated into the solution such that they can be called from GIS for a particular location. Reference points must be used to accurately position the scanned overhead lines and transmission structures relative to the British National Grid. Post processing must be completed to apply defined feature codes to classify objects and structures captured during scanning. The provider(s) should provide timely high quality project delivery services and excellent post implementation customer support options. The provider should be able to obtain all licenses/certificates required to carry out the work and meet short delivery schedules. To participate in the procedure the supplier should submit a pre-qualification questionnaire on the SHET's source-to-contract system Jaggaer.

Deer Drone surveying Northamptonshire

Natural England is working in conjunction with local partners and land owners to ascertain the deer density and movement routes in the 'project area' in order to allow for greater collaboration between listed partners and a subsequent increase in the numbers of deer culled. Drone surveys are required to understand the density, movements and location of deer herds within the Rockingham Landscape. We will be awarding a contract for Landscape Deer Density surveys in the north of the Rockingham Forest National Character Area. Rockingham Forest National Character Area (NCA) is essentially a broad, low, undulating ridge underlain by Jurassic limestone which falls away from a prominent, steep northern scarp overlooking the Welland Valley. Large areas of woodland remain a significant feature of the landscape and, while not forming continuous belts, the blocks of woodland often coalesce visually with hedgerow trees and smaller copses to increase the perception of extensive woodland cover across the landscape. The landscape is a patchwork of woodland and large- to medium-sized fields of mixed arable with some pastoral use surrounding small nucleated villages. Fields are commonly bounded by well-managed hedgerows with mature trees or drystone walls and display the rectilinear pattern of the enclosures set within a more sinuous pattern of older enclosures, winding lanes and watercourses. The survey and subsequent report need to be completed by 25th March 2025. The expectation is for the drone surveys to be completed between mid-February and mid-March 2025. Additional information: To apply for this opportunity you must submit your quotation meeting the requirements detailed in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) attached. Your response must be sent to [email protected] by 12 midday on 16/12/2024. Please note that, unless commercially sensitive, both the question and the response will be circulated to all tenderers.
