Description

The Department of Health and Social Care has appointed Sheffield University) Sheffield Centre for Health and Related Research) for the delivery of the following objectives:<br/><br/>1. Review and adaptation of one of the ScHARR microsimulation patient-level models to mirror the natural progression of prostate cancer, facilitating the assessment of cost-effectiveness in various population groups.<br/>2. Calibration of the prostate cancer model using UK-specific data.<br/>3. Evaluation of the cost-effectiveness of one-time PSA screening for men of average risk across different age thresholds.<br/>4. Assessment of the cost-effectiveness of one-time PSA screening for men with a familial history of prostate or breast cancers across different age thresholds.<br/>5. Analysis of the cost-effectiveness of one-time PSA screening for Black men across different age thresholds.<br/>6. Examination of the cost-effectiveness of one-time PSA screening for men with BRCA2 mutation across different age thresholds.
