Description

The Authority wishes to award an Approved Provider List for the Provision of Supported Internships (“the Contract”).  A supported internship is one type of study programme specifically aimed at young people aged 16 to 24 who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), who want to move into employment and need extra support to do so.  They are intended to enable young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities to achieve sustainable, paid employment by equipping them with the skills they need for work through learning in the workplace. Internships normally last for a year and include unpaid work placements of at least six months. Wherever possible, they support the young person to move into paid employment at the end of the programme.  The services are demand led and as such annual totals are dependent on that demand.

Adult Skills and Learning (DPS)

Crown Commercial Service (CCS) as the Authority intends to put in place a Pan Government Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) to support the provision of Adult Learning and Skills requirements that can be utilised by Mayoral Combined Authorities, Devolved Administrations, Local Authorities, Education Establishments and Central Government Departments. The new agreement will offer a range of pre-qualified regional and national providers to support UK public sector bodies in running procurements for Adult Learning and Skills provisions. CCS will be creating a supply market that enables the procurement of education and training for those aged 19 years and above to help them develop the skills they require to progress into, or within, work; or to equip them for an apprenticeship and/or other tertiary qualifications. The new agreement will provide a route to market for all available 19+ funding streams (including Adult Education Budget (AEB)) that are used by Mayoral Combined Authorities, Devolved Administrations, Local Authorities, Education Establishments and Central Government Departments.

Dynamic Purchasing System for the provision of Specialist Professional Services

The London Borough of Waltham Forest is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced Suppliers to be appointed under a Dynamic purchasing system ("DPS") for the provision of specialist professional services. The DPS is divided into 20 lots as detailed further in the procurement documents and will be accessible for use by UK Public Sector Bodies (and any future successor organisations) which includes Central Government Departments and their Arm’s Length Bodies and Agencies, Non Departmental Public Bodies, NHS bodies and Local Authorities. There will be no limit on the number of Suppliers that may join the DPS for each lot.
