Project to assess the visual characteristics of AtoNs with the aim of optimizing future machine vision operations for MASS (Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships) with the main focus on floating AtoN, specifically navigation buoys. Another objective is to enable the developed machine vision system to discriminate between floating AtoN and non-navigational objects, such as ships and other types of buoys.
