Description

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council in partnership with Test Valley Borough Council are seeking expressions of interest from relevant suppliers to tender for their Framework Contract for Minor Highway Works. Please note that this Framework contract covers the Borough of Basingstoke and Deane and the Borough of Test Valley, both in Hampshire.\r

The contract will operate for a period of 3 years with a 1 year option to extend, and is expected to commence from 01/09/2019 and cover Highway Civil Engineering projects ranging anywhere from a few hundred pounds up to £75,000.00.\r

Typical works let through this contract are of a Highway Civil Engineering nature and range from the construction of drop kerbs and small footway links to the implementation of additional parking projects and neighbourhood regeneration schemes.  Any one project could comprise elements of traffic management, site clearance, fencing, drainage, earthworks, kerbing, macadam surfacing and / or street furniture installation; hence suitable bidders will be those with experience of all of these areas.\r

This Framework contract comprises submitted rates against each individual item listed within the Contract Schedule of Items. Bidders must be able to supply every item listed within Document 5 Appendix 1 Schedule of Works.\r
Any contractor wishing to be considered for appointment onto this framework agreement must complete and return the PAS 91 prequalification questionnaire. Responses to the prequalification questionnaire will be used to draw up a restricted list of companies invited to participate further in the procurement process. The number of companies to be invited to tender as a result of this opportunity notice will be restricted to a minimum of 5 and maximum of 7 suppliers (this will only be exceeded where multiple suppliers have the same total score) with a total of up to 5 suppliers appointed to the framework contract.\r
The Council is utilising an electronic tendering tool to manage this procurement and communicate with suppliers.  Accordingly, there will be no hard copy documents issued to bidders and all communications with the Council, including the submission of Supplier Responses, will be conducted via the ProContract system, which can be accessed using the following link:	\r
