Description

This specification identifies the service requirements for the contract for the Kerbside Collection Service and comprises of two parts:

1.	Part One: General Requirements	
2.	Part Two: Kerbside Waste and Recycling Collections

A fuller description of the requirement and scope of the Services is provided in each part.

Additional information: Term - the Contract will commence on April 1st 2025 and, subject to earlier termination in accordance with its terms, will continue until midnight on March 31st 2032. At the Authority's entire discretion, the term may be extended from April 1st 2032 to March 31st 2038 on the same terms for such a period in accordance with the Contract.

The Council is seeking to award a single Contract, to a supplier with the appropriate experience and capacity, to commence on the 1st April 2026 for a potential initial term of 8 years with a possible extension for a further 1 + 1 year to deliver a high-quality waste and cleansing services across the Borough of Burnley. The Council is seeking to award a single Contract to commence on the 1st April 2026 for a potential initial term of 8 years with a possible extension for a further 1 + 1 year to deliver a high-quality waste and cleansing services across the Borough of Burnley.
