Description

The Council is looking to procure a service that will support citizens who are being discharged from hospital or an enablement (EAB) bed to return home.
      
      This will include delivering the following:
      
      o Support on the day of discharge for individuals with follow up support within 72 hours
      o Deliver a basic food parcel
      o Benefit maximisation 
      o Befriending 
      o Undertake simple shopping (non-financial)
      o Making sure the home environment is warm, comfortable and safe 
      o Supporting to pay bills and make appointments
      o Collecting medication prescriptions or setting up a prescription delivery
      o Practical assistance with accumulated posts, completion of forms, letter writing and posting
      o Helping to find out about and access community activities to keep people connected to their local communities 
      
      The Contract will be for a period of 1 year (unless terminated under the terms and conditions of contract) with the option to extend for up to one year.
      
      The contract will be awarded to a single provider.
      
      The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest. NAC and The North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership wish to work in partnership with providers to deliver a high-quality care and support service within two Supported Accommodation Housing sites in North Ayrshire. Both sites are owned by North Ayrshire Council. The total budget for this requirement will be 15,296,039.20 GBP. The contract will be in place for a total of 10 years, initially for a 4-year period, with an option to extend by 72 months. The anticipated contract start date will be 1 April 2026. Lot 1 budget - 7,507,000.80 GBP. Lot 2 budget - 7,789,038.40 GBP. The applicable regulations will be The Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015 Light touch regime for services.

Hearing Service

Cumberland Council wishes to commission a provider to deliver an advice and equipment service for people who are d/Deaf, hard of hearing or have dual sensory loss from 01st September 2025 The service comprises four main elements: • Information, advice and guidance • Care Act assessments • Equipment • Prevention and deaf awareness training. It will be available to all adults (and young people aged 16-17 in transition from adult social care to children's services) who are d/Deaf, hard of hearing or have dual sensory loss and are resident in Cumberland. Referrals will come from the council, NHS, other public or third sector organisations, as well as from people themselves. The provider will also create measurable social value to the people of Cumberland through volunteering and work experience. The service will help people achieve positive outcomes relating to independence, inclusion, making well-informed decisions and safety, among others. The contract will commence on 01st September 2025 and will continue for a period of 12 months, unless terminated in accordance with the Conditions of Contract. There is a potential for a contract extension of one 12-month period, depending on both the success in achieving the outcomes and availability of further funding. The estimated total value of the contract over the total contract period (including any extension period) is a maximum value of £170,150. but no guarantee is given as to the actual value of the contract.
