Description
This direct award was made for a Cashless Parking system via a further competition using the ESPO 509_23 framework. Motorists expect to be able to use cashless parking, which offers an alternative to pay & display (P&D), for parking charges. Since the introduction of RingGo (the current cashless parking system), cashless parking has become an essential service with currently 85% of transactions for parking charges are made through the online cashless service . The cashless parking service lets customers pay for and extend their parking from anywhere with their phone and online. Merton continues to reduce its estate of aged P&D machines, the cashless parking system will play an even more critical role, for the business to facilitate and manage parking charges and help meet savings. This is a 5 year contract with a break clause at year 3 years should the council wish to exercise it.
