Description
The contract is required for the Council to continue to operate the majority of our IT systems. It covers the licenses required for our Email, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Sharepoint and all our document storage. The cost of Microsoft Licenses for the whole of the UK public sector is determined by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Crown Commercial Services and Microsoft, setting out the discounts based on the total license numbers for the public sector as a whole. Therefore any further aggregation of requirements when procuring them can only influence reseller margins. The procurement undertaken was a further competition through Lot 3 of the Crown Commercial Services Technology Products & Associated Services (TePAS) framework. Lot 3 (Software and Associated Services) has 28 suppliers, and all were invited to submit a tender.
