Winchester City Council invited tenders for the design, supply and installation of a children's play area at King George V Play Area, Winchester. 

The council sought a contractor to create a new, inclusive children's play area which will provide a safe and stimulating environment for children to play and learn. The opportunity is fully aligned to the commitment set out in the Council Plan to 'Living Well' and offer the right facilities to support good physical and mental health for all ages and abilities.   The new play area will replace the existing one (which will be removed as part of the contract) and meet all current regulations and best practice. 
The  successful Tenderer is mindful of the Council's commitment to reducing carbon dioxide emissions in terms of refurbishing equipment, recycling and minimising disposal.

T2582 PEACEPLUS Community Connections Project

The PEACEPLUS Community Connections project aims to support the integration and inclusion of people from minority ethnic backgrounds to grow their representation and voices within the city as well as developing familiarity and links with other communities. This a citywide project that contains 4 separate but related strands: Strand 1: Community Leadership and Mentoring Programme Strand 2: Belfast Community Orientation and Cultural Facilitators Strand 3: Community Connectors Programme Strand 4: Community and Network Building This project contributes to the implementation of the Celebrating Cultures and Diversity theme under the Belfast PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan.
