Description

Design and Deploy a Digital Solution (DHUPHC funding)

Dacorum Borough Council, on behalf of the SWH authorities wishes to explore the potential to design and deploy a digital solution to the consolidation of responses gathered from multiple digital media and platforms as well as emails and letters into a single, searchable database and to support the processing and reporting of those consultation responses.

Local authorities have to produce a local plan to set the strategy for the growth and development of their area. The local authorities in South West Hertfordshire (SWH) are working together to prepare a Joint Strategic Plan (JSP). The JSP is one of the largest strategic plans being prepared nationally and comprises five local planning authorities, along with Hertfordshire County Council, all of which are actively embracing digital and innovative consultation approaches for local and strategic plans, with the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill providing significant support for digital disruption and transformation in planning.
Engagement and consultation is a fundamental part of the plan preparation process, but the deployment of multiple digital engagement platforms to gather responses, alongside traditional types of responses (letters, emails) creates significant work to consolidate all responses for analysis and reporting.
The South West Herts authorities are in receipt of funding from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC), as part of the Proptech Engagement Fund, to undertake a discovery process to identify a scaleable solution to the problem faced by the authorities in the amalgamation and processing of consultation responses.

Provision of Agent Portal Solution

De Montfort University (DMU) recruits thousands of students from across the world to study at its main campus in Leicester as well as campuses overseas. Currently, a high percentage of these students are recruited in collaboration with international agents who support students through the process and receive a commission should the student go on to enrol at DMU. DMU does not, as yet, have an efficient system to receive and process applications submitted via agents and is currently heavily reliant on manual excel and document uploads to SAP which, when applications are in their thousands, is a time-consuming and inefficient model. DMU therefore now require an 'off-the-shelf' Agent Portal Solution, already in operation at UK HE and/or overseas institutions and must come with the potential for integration with SAP, to facilitate this future area of development for the University. Additional information: All details relating to this procurement opportunity can be found within the Invitation to Tender documentation for the Provision of Agent Portal Solution, DMU Contract Reference 2153/24, uploaded to the InTend e-tendering portal at: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/demontfort/aspx/Home. This represents an Open Tender process and the closing date for receipt of Tender responses is Friday 3rd January 2025.
