Description

The current contract provides for the collection (to an agreed collection schedule) destruction and disposal of confidential waste materials which will primarily include printed material but may also include, from time to time, uniforms and digital media generated by the Contracting Authority sites. The Contracting Authority offers community-based services provided from a number of small to medium-sized properties situated in both rural and urban settings across a wide geographic area.

The current Contractor has provided collection vessels (predominantly wheeled Eurocarts) in a range of sizes proportionate to the confidential waste arising at each site. Individual bins, appropriately marked, are used for collecting the confidential waste materials to be collected, destroyed and disposed of.

The award of the contract was partially based around cost to the Contracting Authority but also gave significant consideration to compliance in accordance with the relevant Acts of Parliament, Statutory Instruments and Regulations and any policies, rules, procedures and standards (including EU equivalent).

The below document outlines the collection sites and previous volumes.
