Description

Further Competition award for Water Retexturing_2024., using YPO DPS 772 Cat 2.

The work under the Call-Off Contract will include:

• Removal of sufficient binder to restore surface texture to required depths as per RSTA code of practice
• Traffic management for the duration of the retexturing treatments as identified on PCI document

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) (the Council) has a statutory obligation, as a Highway Authority, to maintain the public highway within its boundary and in doing so we require specialist contractors to support us in carrying out these works. We are responsible for over 188km of carriageways, 380km of footways, five bridges including the two Thames crossings and over 12,000 streetlights. This Dynamic Purchasing System is for the provision of the following Road Surface Treatment Services: • Premium Surface Dressing • Micro Asphalting and Footway Surface Treatments • Carriageway Retexturing • Joint Sealing • Asphalt Preservation • In-Situ Road Recycling • Spray Injection Patching The publishing of this Contract Notice is to communicate the renewal of the above DPS which was originally established in March 2018 for a 4 year period. This DPS is now to be renewed for a 4 further year period which will end March 2026. Applications to participate with this DPS can be made on the portal: www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk - REF:DN318931 Any organisation already awarded onto the DPS will remain. Any new applications can continue to be made at the above mentioned address. The estimated value of £20 million provided on this notice is based on the estimated total value of requirements over the next 4 year period and does not include the value of the original 4 year period of the DPS.
