Plymouth City Council ('The Council') would like to provide the opportunity for Tenderers to provide a tender for Collection, Transportation and Disposal of Asbestos Waste and/or Disposal only of Asbestos Waste from its Household Waste Recycling Centre at Chelson Meadow, Plymouth. Therefore, this Invitation to Tender (ITT) has been split into the following Lots: - • Lot A - Collection, Transportation and Disposal of Asbestos Waste The Council is seeking to procure a Service for the collection, transportation and disposal of approximately 100 tonnes per annum of asbestos waste EWC code 17 06 05 (Asbestos). The waste is sourced mainly from the Council's Household Waste Recycling Centres and collections of fly-tipped waste. The Council will store Asbestos at the collection site in 35 cubic yard enclosed roll on off containers. Containers will be provided by the Council. The Supplier will provide haulage of the Asbestos from the Council's collection facility at Chelson Meadow Household Waste Recycling Centre to the processing site. The Supplier shall take ownership and responsibility of the waste once it has been loaded into the Supplier's vehicle. • Lot B - Disposal only of Asbestos Waste The Council is seeking to procure a Service for the disposal of approximately 100 tonnes per annum of asbestos waste EWC code 17 06 05 (Asbestos). The waste is sourced mainly from the Council's Household Waste Recycling Centres and collections of fly-tipped waste. The Council will deliver Asbestos to the disposal facility in 35 cubic yard enclosed roll on off containers. Containers will be provided by the Council. The Supplier shall take ownership and responsibility of the waste once it has been accepted at the disposal facility. The anticipated duration of the contract is for 3 years with option to extend for 1 year
